The Welch Boys
The Welch Boys
THE WELCH BOYS are a five-piece street punk band from Boston featuring members of SLAPSHOT, THE BLUE BLOODS and TOXIC NARCOTIC.

Raised and bred on the many great Boston punk and hardcore bands, THE WELCH BOYS emerge with a sound that is a perfect mix of punk rock, Oi!, and east coast hardcore. They were formed in 2004 by guitarist, and founding member of The Blue Bloods, T.j. Welch. The lineup for their self-titled debut also includes seven-year Slapshot veteran Ed Lalli on vocals, Mark Powers on bass, P.j. Dionne on lead guitar and Ron Holbrook on drums.

The Welch Boys write short, catchy, and powerful songs that emphasize sing along choruses and aggressive guitar playing. They have a sound that is firmly rooted in the punk rock legacy of their hometown, yet unique enough to set themselves apart. Lyrically, they tackle a wide variety of subjects that convey the struggles of working class life all laced with an underlying core of hope and optimism.

Sometimes it's fun to start something new to keep busy with. So we did. We all like a lot of the same bands so it makes sense.

Jason Bennett and The Resistance
Jason Bennett and The Resistance
Jason Bennett and The Resistance was formed in 2006 to realize Bennett's (former Suspect Device) long-held vision of synthesizing the genres rock 'n roll and folk to create conscientious and meaningful music that retains a sense of optimism and – often self-deprecating – humor.

With lead guitarist Drew Manlove (Labor Day Saints) sharing songwriting duties with Jason, The Resistance have crafted a sound that draws from a wide range of influences including Woody Guthrie, The Replacements, and Bad Brains. Melodic, raw, and energetic, these Boston music scene veterans exceed fans' expectations show after show, song after song. Their rhythm section features long-time drummer Mike McCabe and bassist Chris Brat (The Acrobrats, The Throwaways) anchoring a sound rooted in folk music, but raised on a steady diet of punk rock.
Lenny Lashley
Lenny Lashley
from LL Gang of One and DARKBUSTER and LENNY & THE PISS POOR BOYS
LENNY LASHELY'S GANG OF ONE is the latest project from the former Darkbuster frontman. A longtime fixture in the Boston punk scene, Lenny has been playing and touring with his original music for over 16 years. After a traumatic run of Europe in ' 08 (resulting in a mental breakdown) and a few years of reflection, Lenny has re-emerged onto the scene, playing solo acoustic shows and even a Darkbuster reunion show.

A good friend (Joe Koukos [Holdfast Records, Asbury Park, NJ]) introduced Lenny to Bouncing Souls guitarist, Pete Steinkopf, to record and produce a 3 song 7" picture disc record. Originally intended to be a singer/songwriter styled recording, the project took a life of its own with luminaries Pete Steinkopf and Bryan Keinlen from The Bouncing Souls and Joe Sirois from The Mighty Mighty Bosstones lending their talents to the recording. Following the release of the EP, Lenny began to record his follow-up effort, a 10 song full length record. Once again, Pete, Bryan, and Joe joined in, as well as Bouncing Souls drummer Michael McDermott and many other talented musicians. The result is "Illuminator."

Co-released by Pirates Press Records and Panic State Records, these ten new original tunes run the gamut of straight up rock to heart wrenching acoustic tunes. It documents some of what life has dealt Lenny over the past few years and how he has come to deal with it and is undoubtedly Lenny Lashley's best work to date!
