The Yard Sale Tour

26-year-old producer and emcee Spose, hailing from Wells, Maine USA, has been making music since age 9 and rhyming since 1999 when he was 14. Since the release of his debut album "Preposterously Dank" in 2008 on his own imprint, Spose has seen his musical endeavors reach a new plateau.
He was named Maine's "Best HipHop Act" for both 2008 and 2009 at the WePushButtons Awards and also named "Best Hiphop Act" in the Portland Phoenix's 2010 Best Music Poll. In 2009, he released a mixtape with fellow emcee Cam Groves entitled "We Smoked It All." A track off that mixtape, produced by Spose himself, "I'm Awesome" received regional radio play in New England which garnered Spose his first major label recording contract with Universal Republic Records. The single was released in March 2009 nationally and would eventually go gold after selling over 500,000 digital copies in just a few months. Spose used the opportunity to build his own company, the Preposterously Dank Entertainment label based out of Wells, Maine. Artists signed to his imprint include himself, Spose, as well as the aforementioned emcee Cam Groves, hip-hop trio Educated Advocates, and the space-funk-sex-r'n'b of Doctor Astronaut. In 2010, Spose released both "In Sessions," the debut album from Educated Advocates, as well as his own indie album "Happy Medium."

Spose has since left Universal and released his independent album "The Audacity!" - which peaked at #6 on the iTunes hiphop albums chart.

Spose has performed with international acts such as Drake, J. Cole, B.o.B., Wiz Khalifa, Ke$ha, Weezer, Stone Temple Pilots, Cage the Elephant, Wiz Khalifa, Mike Posner, and Kardinal Offishal. He has also performed with the cream of the underground hip-hop crop: 7L & Esoteric, Brother Ali, Sean Price, Ill Bill, Kool Keith, Mac Lethal & more.

Spose recently launched his website label's web site at http://www.pdank.com/ as well as an online store through Maine-based indie record chain Bull Moose Music called Spose*Mart at http://www.bullmoose.com/.
Cam Groves
Cam Groves
Cam Groves is an emcee from Maine known for his clever wordplay and relatable subject matter. As he once rapped in 2009, to sum himself up: “Fast food / Pabst Blue / Cam Groves: That’s Who.” Cam also isn’t pretending to be anything he’s not, like some emcees, as evidenced by his line that he’s “about as gangster as a gangster having a web site.”

Cam was introduced to rap music at a young age, in
the early ‘90’s when the likes of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were at the start of their careers. He sampled different styles by hanging around with his older sister and her friends, and as his taste evolved, he became a fervent fan of the Wu Tang Clan. To this day he still calls 36 CHAMBERS one of his favorite rap albums.

Cam wrote his first rhymes during high school, free-styling with friends during study hall sessions and in smoky cars on the weekends. Post-high school, he continued his rap efforts with hometown companion Spose. He learned the ways of recording while working on a guest verse for the song “John Madden,” on Spose’s 2007 self-released debut album PREPOSTEROUSLY DANK.

Cam made his true recording debut in the summer of 2009, when the Spose and Cam Groves mixtape “We Smoked it All” came out. The release held steadily at the top of the Bull Moose Music / Portland Phoenix “Local Music Charts” for months. Groves emerged onto Portland’s blossoming rap scene while performing tracks from the mixtape on a local scale. Later, as Spose’s hype man, Cam expanded his experience to the national level in 2010 when he rocked the same stages as hiphop and pop music’s heavy hitters: Brother Ali, Sean Price, Grieves, Wiz Khalifa, Weezer, The New Boyz, B.o.B, and Mike Posner.

Cam currently lives in Wells, Maine where he’s vigorously writing and recording his own EP/mixtape, the anticipated title: HOPE SOMETHING COOL HAPPENS.
