Lady Lamb The Beekeeper
Lady Lamb The Beekeeper
Lady Lamb the Beekeeper is the musical moniker of Aly Spaltro.
Aly primarily grew up in the south west --in Arizona and Nevada--where she spent most of her early childhood years, never more content than when she was making oldies mix tapes with a boombox & flashlight in her closet .
Aly and her family moved to Germany for two years--where she fell in love with the German language,--before settling in her home state of Maine in 2004.
She fell in love with more than a language for the first time in the southern part of Maine, in the same coastal town where her heart was first broken.
Out of these pangs and others came Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, a project which began solely as a means of self-expression & self-reflection during the long, dark winter of 2007 in the scalp of New England.
Lady Lamb the Beekeeper writes sprawling, lyric & melody-based songs about lost , true & unrequited love, nostalgia, nectarine meat, wolf maulings, plum crumb cake & mustard colors, death & Guatemala, airplane rides & airplane crashes, lusting & pining, aubergine & almond colored bedsheets, balance beams hidden in the woods, desert mountain ranges, dreams & nightmares, fawns & fawning, & occasionally "The Neverending Story."
Xenia Rubinos
Xenia Rubinos
Magic Trix by Brooklynite Xenia Rubinos might cause an initial reaction like you are being tasered (bro). There is little to compare to the sharp, thick spine of a keyboard sound that shoots at you from the very first moments. Surprisingly, the record’s aggressive sound is achieved without the use of guitars. Xenia, together with drummer/sound magician Marco Buccelli, create a dozen aggressively danceable songs. An oblique assemblage of uncommon rhythms, powerhouse vocals and dance-til-you-puke energy combine to make Magic Trix one of the most exciting debut albums in years.

Having toured the US nationally including official showcases at SXSW, Xenia continues touring steadily in support of her new album release. Xenia’s music has been celebrated by fans and critics alike with features in the New Yorker, Pitchfork, NPR, MTV, Fader, and WNYC.
Cuddle Magic
Cuddle Magic
Cuddle Magic is a band and songwriting collective from Brooklyn and Philadelphia that performs lush, whimsical songs with wide-ranging instrumentation including double bass, percussion, vibraphone, trumpet, clarinet, keyboards, guitars, and many voices. Cuddle Magic balances folk timbres with exciting atonal harmonies, pop song-craft with firmly-planted rhythmic feet, and strawberry-rhubarb pie. Their third album Info Nympho is set to be released this fall.
