Summer Home, the new EP from Boston-based indie rock group Old Abram Brown, mixes wistful lyricism with a bright and breezy sonic texture. Placing emphasis on sunny guitar melodies, bouncy bass lines, and bold percussion effects, this tight collection of tunes offers thoughtful nuance and depth of emotion in both production and songwriting while still maintaining the dark, melancholic edge of the band’s previous work.

In 2011, the band embarked on an innovative project in which live performances were filmed and subsequently premiered on various blogs over the course of 9 weeks. Participating blogs included Consequence of Sound, YVYNYL, The Wild Honey Pie and The Muse in Music. The series served as a digital multimedia experience of the band's live show and became known as the "Blog Tour".

Their live show conveys the energy, command, and fullness which is truly evident on their recordings.

Jeff Beam
Jeff Beam is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter from Portland, Maine. He writes, performs, records, & releases melodic experimental pop music tinged with kaleidoscopic soundscapes, inspired by the songwriting of Elliott Smith & The Kinks, and the sonic textures of Olivia Tremor Control & The Flaming Lips.

The release of 2012's Be Your Own Mirror, Beam's most focused effort yet, brought forth a barrage of positive press, both in the US and overseas. Beam recently completed a tour from Maine to Washington DC & points in between; another wave of shows is just around the corner.

Be Your Own Mirror, contains observations on humanity, existence, perception, and the attempt to find inner peace amidst a tumultuous outer world. Musically, Beam seeks to fuse together unorthodox pop melody with sound collages & passages.
