How can I get tickets to a Great Scott show?
Tickets may be purchased at Great Scott, in person with cash, seven days a week anytime from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets for all shows at Great Scott may also be purchased at the box office at The Sinclair (52 Church St. Cambridge, MA) that is open every Wednesday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased online at AXS.COM, or by clicking the “tickets” icon next to the show.
If a show is canceled, where do I get a refund?
If a show is canceled, refunds are available at point of purchase. You will be refunded automatically if you purchased a ticket through Ticketmaster or Ticketweb. Please note openers are always subject to change and while refunds are not available when that happens, if you were only there to see the support act, we can help! We can offer one guest list spot for another upcoming show at Great Scott for each ticket that had been purchased to the show where this happened.
What are my payment options in the venue?
Great Scott encourages you to live within your means: The venue is CASH ONLY. There is an ATM inside the venue.
How old do I have to be to get into Great Scott?
Age minimums vary from show to show. You must present a government-issued ID if you are 21+ and plan on drinking alcohol. Security is present at every show to verify your age. Most shows are 18+ with Saturday night shows almost always being 21+.
Does Great Scott have seats?
There is limited seating in the back of the venue and at the bar. These seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis for general-admission shows.
Do I need to bring ID?
Yes! Government-issued photo ID is required.
What kind of drinks do you have?
The Bar. Ah, the bar. It is our main asset and we’re proud of it. Great Scott offers a full selection of beers and alcohol to please the taste buds of our patrons. As well, nonalcoholic beverages (soda, water, juice) are available. The bar is long and wraps around about 60% of the left-hand side of Great Scott. With a clean counter and comfortable stools, it’s not a rare site to see it packed with a happy crowd. PBR Tall Boys and bottled Miller High Life are always $3.
Do you serve food at Great Scott?
No food is served within the venue, however Allston is filled with delicious food options nearby!
I have a blog. Do I count as press?
Maybe. But all press inquiries should be directed to the band’s publicist, label or management.
Can I bring my camera?
Photo policy varies for different artists and is usually not determined until day of show. You can bring a nonprofessional camera to most shows and inquire about the photo policy at the door.
Do you have a coat check?
There is a coat rack located next to the entrance on your left.
Can I smoke at Great Scott?
There is no smoking inside the venue, however smoking is allowed outside and on the deck after 9 p.m.
Is there re-entry?
Yes, please make sure your stamp is visible upon re-entry.
Is there a dress code?
Shirt and shoes required! Otherwise, for concerts, there is no dress code whatsoever.
Where do I park?
Great Scott does not have a parking lot. Street parking (metered) is available. After 6 p.m. and on Sundays street parking is free. Be warned: Many parts of Allston are reserved for resident parking and you will most likely be ticketed if you break that rule.
Can I book my band at Great Scott?
We would love to help this happen! Artists are chosen to play events based on a wide range of factors ranging from anticipated draw and bar sales, to Great Scott supporting the local music community and giving unknown bands a shot! We accept all submissions at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Tickets purchased in front of the venue are usually counterfeit and admittance will be denied.
No flyers, stickers, handbills.
You will be ejected for throwing ANYTHING, even your mama.
If you lose an item at a show, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org the following day.
No markers, spray paint, weapons (includes pocket knives).
Handicapped seating is available … please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before doors are scheduled to open and security will accommodate you at the door.
You must show proof of age by government-issued photo ID to be served at the bar.
